Hennepin Hundred (100 solo/50 solo/50k solo/ 100 RELAY): A point to point ultra-marathon race allows runners a chance to pass through many unique towns and countryside. Look for many truss and lift bridges built in the early 1900s for farmers to cross the canal, and the aqueducts that carry the canal and its trail over rivers and creeks. Runners, spectators and crew will want to watch for Bald eagles which are known to nest along the canal, as well as majestic blue herons.
